The Effective Solution For Nasal Congestion Problem

Deltarhino
pack form
Ephedrine hudrochloride/ Naphazoline nitrate - 15 ml Nasal Spary

Composition:

Deltarhino nasal spray contains:

Ephedrine hydrochloride 0.5 % w/v.

Naphazoline nitrate 0.125 % w/v.

Pharmacodynamics:

Deltarhino, nasal decongestant, consists of Ephedrine hydrochloride & Naphazoline nitrate.

Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic with direct & indirect effects on adrenergic receptors.

It has alpha-(a) & beta-(13) adrenergic activity & has pronounced stimulating effects on the central nervous system.

Naphazoline is a sympathomimetic with marked a -adrenergic activity.

It has rapid & prolonged action in reducing swelling & congestion when applied to mucous membranes.

The a -adrenergic effects cause intense vasoconstriction when applied directly to mucous membranes, redistributing local blood flow to reduce edema of the nasal mucosa thus resulting in its shrinkage, promoting drainage & improving ventilation & nasal stuffiness.

The presence of the combination of ephedrine hydrochloride & naphazoline nitrate produces a rapid & prolonged decongestion of the inflamed nasal mucosa at the usual therapeutic doses.

After a prolonged use of sympathomimetics, rebound congestion occurs as vasodilatation becomes prominent & the effects of vasoconstriction subside.

Therefore, its use is restricted to periods of not more than 7 consecutive days.
